So here's why we have different covers. The books that go to comic shops have a thinner paper for the cover, and comic stores are used to selling these books for $2.99, so we do. The books for Warped tour and Hot Topic, we feel need a thicker cover because they get moved more, handled more and you carry them around. We could not offer this and cover our costs. We want the best for our readers and we feel that an extra dollar is worth it, and if not, by all means pick it up at your favorite comic store and show them support.
The Variant cover is in VERY low quantity. Stores who bought a quantity of The Amory Wars were given a copy or two to either sell or take home. We will have a small amount of the variant cover at Warped tour, but it will cost more.
